Tax Exempt Status
Columbus Charities is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (EIN: 51-0179464). The Tootsie Roll program operates under the umbrella of this nonprofit status. Donors may deduct contributions to this program as provided in section 170 of the Code. Bequests, legacies, devises, transfers, or gifts to this program or for your use are deductible for Federal estate and gift tax purposes if they meet the applicable provisions of sections 2055, 2106, and 2522 of the Code.
Insurance Certificate
Each council must keep a copy of this certificate accessible at each fundraising event.
